PLACED -- Quark graduated to advanced training and certification for
dual purpose Wilderness Search and Rescue Dog and Cadaver Detection Dog with King County Search Dogs in Washington State.
NorthWest K9's Quark is a young male
Australian Cattle Dog ("Blue Heeler"). He's a handsome representative of the breed
with a tight, muscular build, broad head, joyful expressiveness, and beautiful blue speckled coat to standard.
Full of character and personality, Quark is a highly affectionate
and well-socialized boy. Surface/height/noise neutral, and a joyful traveler in the vehicle anywhere, anytime. His foundation training
shows facility to commands sit, down, here, heel, crate/wait/come out, jump up, jump down, walk it, tunnel, speak, give, out,
leave it, quiet, kisses and directed search facility to look here. |
He's a natural retriever
of anything thrown. He doesn't just jump obstacles -- he soars. Quark is a powerfully athletic,
extremely agile, high drive young prospect showing boundless energy and enthusiasm.
Quark shows pronounced prey, ball, and play. He responds
enthusiastically to ball, toy, food, and praise reward.
Handlers seeking pronounced drives, high intelligence and trainability, superb athleticism, and a
strong work ethic should consider Quark and his outstanding potential for detection or SAR.
The Cattle Dog
breed exemplifies much that a working German Shepherd Dog brings
to the job, in the smaller, faster, highly agile package.
