NorthWest K9 Dogs In Training
PLACED -- Jodl graduated to training for Patrol Dog certification with a Police K9 Unit in Washington.
NorthWest K9's Jodl is a four-month-old, beautifully masked red sable dog with
wonderful expression. He possesses extreme food drive, and is a total puppy tug maniac and a nut for the tennis ball.
Full of himself and showing confidence in all types of environments, Jodl responds beautifully to motivational
training. He demonstrates intense focus on the handler.
He's a retrieving fool with ball and toy, and after winning at tug-o-war he's right back with the tug for more play.
He transitions from one surface to another without pause. He's very pushy and mouthy, and
a speed demon with high level drives across the board.
This youngster possesses high intelligence and trainability, with a confident temperament and super overall character.
He responds energetically to the voice and hand signals sit, down, here, giblaut and to voice
commands heel, crate, watch it/take it, find the ballee, such, bringz, give and leave it.
Gunsureness tested (rifle, pistol, M80). Housebroken, crate trained, and neutral to leash and harness.
Jodl has
shown total confidence from forest wilderness to busy downtown intersections, and on his
visits to motocross course, fire station, service station, car wash, industrial areas, loading dock,
construction sites, retail stores, recycling station, and more in daytime and nighttime hours. He's been exposed
to machinery of all types including hydraulic compressors, HVAC ventilation, industrial floor cleaning equipment,
power tools, gasoline-powered mowers and blowers, and more.
He's a
regular monkey on stairs, grandstands, logpiles, rockpiles, and
through brush and brambles. Travel over open metal grating, wet grass, mud, bark, gravel, concrete, wood, slippery floors, tarps,
metal, and fiberglass give him no pause. His tour of the industrial rock quarry took him from
pea-sized gravel to small boulders, all which of he readily climbed and confidently explored.
| He shows a very deep, audible nose in his foundation
footstep tracking exercises and he continues to advance as his tracks increase in length and complexity.
Uninhibited in all areas, Jodl is suited to
experienced handlers. This is a highly intelligent,
energetic and lively youngster with tremendous service potential.
