--PLACED--
NorthWest K9's Eckhart is a strikingly handsome and
powerfully built German Shepherd Dog of classic East German (DDR) working bloodlines type. A neutered male of approximately
24 months old, at 90 pounds Eckhart possesses substantial bone and a beautiful, dense stock coat with darkly
pigmented black saddle with red. This is a dry, muscular, highly energetic and physically strong dog. Microchipped. |
| Displaying the breed's
classic reserve toward strangers, once he gets to know you Icky enthusiastically elicits highly physical
play with his person. He's a tennis ball nut and joyful retriever of ball and toy. He's
lively and animated in the training. He's
absolutely neutral to obstacles, heights and surfaces. He's at ease in the crate and kennel.
|
 |
 |
He has developed facility to obedience commands
sit, down, heel, here, crate, wait, come out, give, leave it, watch it/take it, jump up, jump down,
find the ballee, show me, settle, giblaut, break. He is extremely driven on
foundation footstep tracking on sod, and demonstrates a deep nose.
|
| He's a highly intelligent, pushy dog motivated by food, ball, and
verbal/tactile praise. He takes food gently, gives ball/toy readily, and responds well to correction.
Icky is a discriminating personal and property guardian giving voice when warranted. In new situations he shows strong
environmental awareness.
|
 |
 |
Eckhart is a young dog with
highly developed substance and size. He is not handler hard, responding beautifully to motivational training and
consistent handling. He would excel with a breed-knowledgeable handler experienced with
bringing up the highly driven, athletic working lines male with balanced firmness and fairness.
|
|
A super candidate for the Eastern European bloodlines enthusiast
who desires a confident German Shepherd Dog of physical substance and presence.
